But Sheridan Smith clearly didn’t fancy taking any chances when she took to the red carpet at the Vue cinema in Leicester Square on Thursday evening.
Looking as if she had two red doilies covering her chest, the 32-year-old turned heads with her very daring festive frock.Featuring a full sheer panel on the top half, the actress who plays Michelle in the film, had a section of her bare stomach on show.
The Fifties style skirt was more modest and fell to the top of her calves, featuring pockets for her to pose with her hands in.
Making sure the racy nature of the dress could take centre stage, the actress wore her hair off her face in a quiffed pony tail that was in keeping with her style of skirt.
The star wore a pair of simple nude stilettos, while she wore lashings of eye make-up to complete her red carpet look.
The film’s other female co-star Julie Walters was in stark contrast to Sheridan, opting rather sensibly to keep the cold at bay in a black coat, featuring leopard print turn-up sleeves.
